Happy March everyone. We are so excited about your enthusiasm this past month for our First Yoga Challenge. We will be offering the challenge again (perhaps in the fall), so if you missed it this time, be sure to lookout for future dates. Those of you that participated stuck to your commitment and showed up at least 18 times at Yoga Junction to practice. We have a gift for everyone who participated at the studio. These students were entered into our raffle (you received one raffle ticket for taking 18 classes; an extra raffle ticket for every class over 18.) Therefore, it came as little surprise the winners of the raffle contest: Logan joined us for 32 visits and won the 3 Month Renew Membership, and Martha joined us for 28 classes and won a Skidless Yoga Towel. Congratulations everyone!! A few more highlights this month: * March Promotion: For every punch pass and membership purchased in March, we are giving you a Free Week of Yoga to gift to a friend. Please ask at the front desk for details. *Restorative Yoga Workshop with Farrah: Due to the popularity of this class, it will now be offered monthly. | Restorative Yoga with Farrah Forsyth Sunday, March 15, 6-8 p.m. $30/Register Soon; this class fills quickly and is limited to 15 students
Looking for long-lasting stress relief? Restorative yoga might just be the answer. Most of us lead lives that reinforce working at a fast-forward speed and then we collapse in exhaustion, we have very few habits that encourage balance between these two extremes. Restorative yoga provides a soothing environment with the goal of total relaxation and balance. When the body is held in fully supported and comfortable poses for longer periods of time it will naturally relax, releasing deeply held tensions. This state of healing rest promotes relief of chronic stress, fatigue, and muscle tension, encourages the elimination of toxins and overall health and flexibility of the spine. Join Farrah in this 2 hour workshop where she will assist you into these tranquil restorative poses, teach calming breathing and visualization techniques, and lead you into blissful guided mediation.

| The Poetics of Yoga with Amanda Fiorino March 21 1:30-3:30 p.m., $40
Working with the imagination, this workshop will show you how the human psyche and soma move in tandem with one another, reinforcing ease through refined emotional expression. By exploring the poetic roots of yoga and mindfulness, we will begin to see how one's practice on the mat transcends and merges into our day-to-day lives. Bringing language to our physical experiences will help to make what is intangible, tangible. Engaging the body and the mind will allow you to unearth how yoga and mindfulness not only impact your body, but also your emotional and mental states. This workshop is for those who have some knowledge and experience with yoga and mindfulness, and those who want to creatively move, literally and metaphorically.
