Spring is on its way, Whittier! 🌱
The days are getting longer, and there’s plenty happening around town this month!
We’re excited to share that a new and easy way to get around Whittier is coming soon! The City’s Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) pilot program will roll out in the coming months, providing a fun and convenient transportation option for residents and visitors alike.
With no fixed stops, riders can hop on and off anywhere within the service area—whether you're heading to local shops and restaurants, Whittier College, or even the Greenway Trail.
This program makes exploring Whittier easier, all without the hassle of parking. Similar services have been a big hit in neighboring communities, and we can’t wait to see how this enhances mobility in our city. Stay tuned for more details!
This month’s newsletter also includes details on annual spring events like Arbor Day and Eggxtravaganza, creative fun at the library’s MakerSpace with UFO (Unfinished Objects), and important community updates on resource connections, free compost for residents, Board & Commission vacancies, and more.
Thanks for reading and we hope to see you around town soon!
