Winter Adventures
Good start to 2017
|

As we welcome these first signs of spring, we reflect on all that we were able to accomplish this winter thanks to your generous support!
We successfully led winter birding and tracking workshops with Poo Wright-Pulliam and Ann Christensen, as well as a weekly snowshoe tour with the Limelight Hotel. Additionally, we hosted two exhibits for the December and February Gallery Walks - one that included historic snowpack photos from The Community Library's
Regional History Department.
We completed a six-week
Science After School program focused on winter tracking at Alturas Elementary School and a three-week program with the
I Have a Dream Foundation 7th graders on sustainability. We also facilitated over ten
Growing Great Minds programs at local public and private schools.
Finally, we have been doing a lot of behind the scenes work gearing up for a very busy spring and summer!
If our winter programs and successes are any indication of what is to come in 2017, we cannot wait!

Community Corner
Local organizations working towards sustainability
Nearly a year ago, ERC staff visited The Advocates staff to discuss ways they could "green" their operations. Recently, we made a trip back to see what changes they had made, and were very happy to see some great improvements.
