FREE NATIVE PLANTS FOR NYC WATERSHED RESIDENTS

The Watershed Agricultural Council is excited to announce a remodeled Tree Planting practice in the Management Assistance Program (MAP).

MAP is the Watershed Agricultural Council’s primary way of supporting forest landowners in stewarding their woods. MAP provides cost-share opportunities for projects that protect water quality, improve wildlife habitat, and overall drive the growth of healthy forests.

At the bottom of page 2 on the MAP application you’ll find a new Tree Planting practice. This practice supplies free native tree and shrub saplings (about 2-5 feet tall) to landowners within the NYC Watershed. To qualify, at least 5 plants must be requested, and at least half of those must be trees. More details can be found in the application.

To read more about selecting, planting, and maintaining trees check out these resources on MyWoodlot.com.

CADE FARMER LOGISTICS SURVEY

We want to hear from you!

How are you currently distributing your products?

What are your distribution needs?

CADE is collecting data from farms and food businesses on how they currently transport products to customers to inform suggestions as to how we might reduce pain points and offer possible solutions.

They expect the survey to take about 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept anonymous and only shared as aggregated data, so that the results are non-personally identifiable with respect to you or your customers.

Please complete the survey by March 27.
