Save the Dates for the Think College Awareness Week April 24-28, 2023!
The Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network is launching a public awareness campaign, Think Higher. Think College!, to educate people about college as an option for students with intellectual disability. The campaign will launch with a week of virtual events called Think College Awareness Week (April 24-28, 2023). Free and open to the public, sessions will include information and resources for students, families, educators and transition professionals, and higher education personnel. Registration coming soon!

Think College will once again be sponsoring a College Fair during the event. With over 3500 attendees, this is a great opportunity for programs to meet students and share information about their program. The application to exhibit is currently open to all college programs and will close on June 1. The events take place July 20-23, 2023 in Orlando, FL. For more information and to register your college program, visit this FAQ page. Registration for the 2023 NDSC Convention opens on March 21.

Road Trip 2023 continues!
Last month, Cate Weir and Rebecca Lazo visited the TPSID programs at University of Alabama and University of South Alabama. They met with students and learned about the courses, jobs and internships, and extracurricular activities students engaged in. Staff shared details of program operations, and Cate and Rebecca had the opportunity to meet with parents, faculty, and employers who shared their perspectives on these programs.The NCC road trips continue in April with visits to TPSID programs in New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania.

What is NTACT:C?
The National Technical Assistance Center on Transition: The Collaborative (NTACT:C) is a technical assistance center co-funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) and the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA). They provide information, tools, and supports to assist multiple stakeholders in delivering effective services and instruction for secondary students and out of school youth with disabilities.
