Message from our CEO
Spring is here, bringing longer days of sunshine and blue skies. It also means it is time to take care of yards, gardens and outdoor patio spaces that have been untouched all winter. Habitat ReStores can help you get ahead of all your spring home maintenance chores with garden supplies, tools and more for far below retail prices. Upgrading your kitchen? Consider donating your existing cupboards and countertops to Habitat Heartland. Keep it out of the landfill while supporting affordable home construction in our community. We are excited to start building again in St. Thomas very soon and there are many ways for you to get involved in this project. Volunteering, corporate sponsorships, spending a day on the build site with 9 of your friends or colleagues, or donating construction materials or skilled labour are all great ways to show your support for affordable homeownership in Elgin County. We hope to see you there!
We're looking for families!

Our Final Key Ceremony on Forbes Street
Many community members, family, friends, corporate partners, and volunteers came out on a snowy February day to celebrate the key ceremony for Arber & Lumturi's family and Karin's family. The completion of their houses at 38 and 36 Forbes Street marks the completion of this vibrant 17 home Habitat community!

A Celebration of our Manor Park Habitat Community
It all started with a closed down school and a vacant lot in the middle of Manor Park. This parcel of land became a project that allowed us to build a diverse Habitat Community of 17 homes that will continue to foster strength, stability, and self-reliance in our homeowners for generations to come.

The impact of the Manor Park Habitat community will double the number of homes we have constructed here today. As the Manor Park families pay back their mortgages, the funds are reinvested into the Habitat build fund . This is a long term investment that will reach hundreds of additional families in the counties we serve

Thank you to all of the many companies, corporate sponsored teams, volunteers and tradespeople that helped make this project a success!
Sponsor Profile: National Bank
The team at National Bank's London branch were generous title sponsors of the build at 36 Forbes Street, where Karin and her family now call home.

Housing need exists in every community
Families in need of affordable housing live everywhere: villages, small towns, sprawling cities, your community.
Housing need presents itself wherever people live and work.

Behind every example of need, every fact or figure about housing and poverty, there are families — families who simply need Habitat for Humanity’s hand-up to help them have a decent place to live.
What does housing need look like where you live?
Your Donation Helps Habitat Build a Secure Home
Ev ery mother needs to know her children have a safe place to call home. You can help keep a hardworking local family safe by providing a secure front door for a Habitat build. There are many positive impacts when a family has access to good quality housing. This includes the importance of the security, stability and sense of control that comes with homeownership.

Build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership for a local family today!
