News from the Director

Wow, I cannot believe it is April already! March was an incredible month for the Hall of Fame Area. My wife Tori and I had the incredible opportunity of attending Real Time in Orlando. We were truly encouraged, refueled and inspired. Worshiping and fellowshipping with 2,400 other FCA staff members around the world, truly was a once in a lifetime experience.

We have been busy planning our first camp in the Hall of Fame Area. We cannot wait to serve all the campers and reach people with disabilities with the gospel. Below you will find more info.

Our family was able to make some fun memories with friends over Spring Break, and I am excited to be coaching my son's flag football team again this season. GO CHIEFS! Please be praying for our family as we welcome TWO new babies in the fall!

We are in need of volunteers for our All-Abilities Camp.

We’re looking for volunteers ages 14 and up who are interested in serving in one of three roles:

1) Camper Buddy/Teammate – This volunteer will be paired with a camper and will assist the camper as needed throughout camp.

2) Activity Station Helper – This volunteer will help at one of our activity stations throughout camp. Activity stations include soccer, football, baseball/softball, and basic fitness.

3) Floater – This volunteer will help as needs arise throughout camp, which might include different tasks at different times or assignment to one task throughout the duration of camp.

Volunteers will be expected to:

Register to be a volunteer online ASAP.

Watch volunteer training videos (to be sent to volunteer in May).

Attend both days of camp.

Huddle Update from Malone University

Malone University has been led this year by their fearless leader Tameko H. We are thankful for his dedication to the athletes on campus and finding creative ways to engage with them.

This month, they heard from community member Bradley Tyson. He spoke to the students about the redemption of God, and how Jesus reconciles us to the Father.

At the end of end of March, Malone's FCA welcomed elders from Providence Church in Cleveland to the podcast room. The athletes on campus were able to hear from these gentlemen as they discussed "college and Christian culture and how Christian can use social media. We are thankful that the faculty and staff at Malone believe in FCA's mission and allow our leaders to utilize resources like the podcast room to create an environment the students and athletes are excited to be apart of it.

Hear from our Huddle Leaders at Mount Union

"At FCA this semester we have been growing our faith in multiple ways while continuing to support our community. Mount union was able to make over 150 Valentines cards for nursing homes and Akron children’s hospital. We have had great growth from our new worship team that provide the opportunity to get in Gods presence. This semester we look forward to hosting one voice with all Christian organizations on campus with testimonies and worship with some great campfire snacks."
