Clinical Service Spotlight

When’s the last time someone looked at all your medications together?

Our Brown Bag Medication Reviews are a simple, one-on-one consult with your pharmacist to make sure everything you’re taking — prescriptions, vitamins, and over-the-counter products — is safe, effective, and working well for you.

Bring your medications in (literally in a bag!) and we’ll review for:

  • Duplicate therapies
  • Drug interactions
  • Unnecessary medications
  • Cost-saving opportunities
  • Side effects you may not realize are medication-related

It’s like a spring cleaning for your medicine cabinet, but with a pharmacist by your side.

Rx Rockstar of the Month

Congratulations to our March Rx Rockstar, Madison!

Madison has been part of the BFP team for 8 months and thrives in our fast-paced environment. Whether she’s helping at the register or supporting workflow behind the scenes, she brings steady energy and a positive attitude to every shift.

She’s currently attending UAMS Nursing, continuing her passion for healthcare, and graduated from Ole Miss in 2024 (Hotty Toddy!). When she’s not at the pharmacy, you can find her at the gym or working on her latest needlepoint project - a perfect balance of strength and creativity.

We’re so thankful for the focus, drive, and calm-under-pressure presence she brings to our team every day! 💊✨

Pharmacist Tip of the Month

If you’ve ever had chickenpox (and most adults have), the virus stays quietly in your body. Later in life, it can resurface as shingles — a painful rash that can take weeks to fully heal.

The good news? Shingles is preventable.

The Shingrix vaccine is a simple 2-dose series recommended for adults 50 and older (and for those who are immunocompromised). It’s highly effective at preventing shingles and the lingering nerve pain that can sometimes follow.

If you’re 50+ or have a birthday coming up, this is a great time to check it off your list. Our clinical team can get you started and help you stay on schedule for dose two.

Prevention is always easier than treatment. 💛

Call or schedule online HERE to begin your series.

Spring cleaning isn’t just for closets, it’s for your medicine cabinet, too!

Did you know we have a secure Drug Drop-Off Bin right here in the pharmacy? It’s a safe, convenient way to dispose of expired or unwanted medications and keep them out of the wrong hands. Proper disposal helps prevent accidental poisonings, reduces misuse, and protects our environment by keeping medications out of landfills and water systems.

As you’re freshening up your home this season, take a few minutes to check expiration dates and clear out anything you no longer need. Simply bring accepted medications (no needles, inhalers, or liquids) and drop them in our secure bin - no questions asked.
