March 27, 2018

Spring is here, heralded by the running creek, increasing temperatures and spring flowers poking their heads up through the warming earth.

The Centre is bustling as we register participants for our summer programs and accommodations, hire new staff, and awaken the Centre for the upcoming seasons. We hope to see you at Naramata Centre this spring, summer or fall!

Something for Everyone!

Come to Naramata Centre
this spring, summer or fall
to expand your mind, move your body, nurture your spirit, express your artistic side, sing your heart out,
act in a play, or relive winter session.

There is a special program waiting just for you! Push your boundaries and explore a new area of interest while meeting new friends.

Your children will love to use their imaginations to create magic as they play, sing,
paint, act, get close to nature, explore working with clay, and so much more!

Program registration and accommodation bookings have been "smooth and steady" these past few weeks. Several programs are full already. To avoid disappointment, make your program choices and secure a spot for accommodation soon!  Our many well trained and talented program leaders are eager to welcome you.

Hearts and Hands Week - May 18-26

Join us as we help wake the Centre up for spring! Enjoy the camaraderie of working for a common cause, meet some new friends, and give back to the Centre that has nurtured you! Expect to enjoy some of the activities of a summer week at the Centre - music, potluck meals, and some surprises!

Rooms and campsites are provided to volunteers at no cost and, in return, part of your volunteer service will include cleaning in and out of your accommodations.

Volunteers are encouraged to come for the full week if possible; however, we also welcome everyone who can help out for a day or several days. We suggest volunteers arrive on Friday, May 18 in preparation for a 9 a.m. start on Saturday, May 19. We will finish work the afternoon of Friday, May 25, with Saturday, May 26 reserved for cleaning and departure.  Local volunteers are also invited to join us during any days they are available (whether or not they are consecutive). Register here.

Summer Staff and Winter Session Reunions

Do you remember the fun you had with your old summer staff
or winter session gang? Get them together again at Naramata Centre for a reunion this summer, as we mark our 70th anniversary!

In recognition of this anniversary, we have made the long weekends in July and September available for three-night stays for reunions of summer staff or winter session. Usually at this
time of year, participants must register for a full week.

Alberta Hall was home to many summer staff and winter session participants. So, to harken back to those days, Alberta Hall will
be an available accommodation option for the reunion weekends. We know that it can be difficult for the under-30 crowd to get here for a week and we hope that the three-night option and lower price accommodation in Alberta Hall will appeal to all ages.

Start planning your reunion, contact your friends and book your stay at the Centre today!

Our Team is Growing!
Naramata Centre is very pleased to welcome our new Office Administrator, Tanya Eckenswiller. Tanya has worked full time
as the Church Administrator and Office Manager at Robertson-Wesley United Church in Edmonton since 2010, and part time

Tanya brings a wealth of experience       in Office programs; social media;   newsletter, poster and advertising   design; email marketing software;   website management; and exceptional   ability with all things software and   computer-related. She has toured the   Centre and is pleased  to begin work   April 2.

 We are pleased too!
