Attention to Attendance: Vacation Policy

Barrington 220 values student attendance. Each month we're sharing attendance facts with you in our Attention to Attendance section. This month’s focus is on vacations. While the district administration considers family time important, we strongly encourage families to schedule vacations around the school calendar. Vacations are not considered a valid reason for student absence.

Prior to taking an extended vacation lasting nine or more consecutive days, parents should contact the school to make arrangements for disenrolling their student(s), including completing a form provided by the school principal. Please note: a separate form will be required for each student.
