March 2015

NETRC is excited to announce that we will return to beautiful Burlington, VT for our second annual fall conference,
Integrating Telehealth in an Evolving Landscape ! We have expanded our agenda this year with a series of pre-conference workshops and a networking event on September 23, followed by a full-day conference on September 24. We are now seeking conference sponsors  and presentation proposals.

There is a lot happening this spring! We are also eagerly watching 47 telemedicine-related bills that have been introduced in our region, including at least one in every state (New England, New York, and New Jersey). This includes bills in Vermont and Rhode Island to adopt the Federation of State Medical Board's Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. In New York, AB 2552 mandating reimbursement for private insurers and Medicaid to take effect on January 1, 2016, was signed by the Governor on March 13. This is the amendment requested by the Governor when he signed SB 7852 in the 2014 legislative session. For those in New Hampshire, there is a public hearing for  SB 112 on March 31 related to the Medicaid managed care program covering telemedicine services. Please visit the National Telehealth Policy Resource Center to review all pending legislation.

As always, please contact us with any questions!

Sincerely,

The NETRC Team
