March Community Dinner


Join us for a warm and welcoming Community Dinner, open to everyone in our community. Enjoy a delicious meal, connect with neighbors, and share in an evening of good food and good company. 
Food this month is provided by St. Anne Catholic Church.

Dusty Boots Dance


Kick up your heels at the Dusty Boots Dance! Join us on March 27 at the Blaine Community Center for an evening of live country and rock music by local band Jaded Lovers, perfect for dancing the night away. Youth attend free!

Starting Garden Seeds


Start planning your vegetable garden now with this free workshop from Blaine C.O.R.E. (Community Orchards for Resources and Education) The class will cover basics of starting garden seeds, like types of seeds, when to start planting seeds, and when to transplant.

Soap Carving Workshop


Turn an ordinary bar of soap into a small handmade sculpture in this beginner project. Learn how to shape smooth curves and simple designs in a soft bar of soap while enjoying a calming, hands‑on crafting experience. No skills required—just relax and carve.

Kids Summer Day Camp: Registration Opens MARCH 10


Get ready for an exciting summer in Birch Bay! Our Summer Day Camps are back, running Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting June 22 through Aug. 13. These camps are the perfect opportunity for your child to enjoy outdoor activities and make new friends. Scholarships available; contact info@bbbparkandrec.org for more info.

Summer Camp Location: Birch Bay Activity Center, 7511 Gemini St.
Ages 5-12
Cost: $195 per child per week, registration required.

Spring Break Day Camps


Celebrate spring break with laughter, discovery, and adventure! Kids will enjoy hands-on projects, outdoor games, and themed experiences that make every day exciting. With a mix of science, art, and active play, this camp is the perfect way to keep young minds and bodies energized during the break.
Kids must bring lunch, snack, and water bottle.


April 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily 
Location: Blaine Elementary School 
Cost: $45 per child per day, registration required. Ages 5-12.


Babysitting Training


This in-person, 2-hour babysitting training program is intended primarily for teenagers who are planning to provide babysitting services for young children and infants. The program includes instruction on the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic care giving skills, and guidelines on how to recognize and handle problems that may occur.

Time: 4 to 6 p.m.
Location: Blaine Community Center

Cost: $20 per person, registration required. Ages 12-17.


Homeschool Art Class: Watercolor 101


This 4 week course dives into how to mix and use colors using watercolors. Students will practice their developing skills each week with a new project and live demo from the instructor. The course will conclude with a gallery-style art show so students can show off their work.

Slime Science Lab


In this hands-on workshop, kids will explore the science behind slime while creating their own colorful, stretchy concoctions. We’ll dive into experiments that teach about polymers, chemical reactions, and the properties that make slime so fascinating. All materials are provided, and will take home their custom slime creations.

Little Chefs: Banana Sushi


Get ready to roll, slice, and snack! Children will spread, roll, and slice bananas with tasty ingredients to create their own colorful banana sushi pieces. Along the way, kids will practice simple food skills, safe food handling, and creativity as they explore and try new foods.

DIY Spa Creations


Teens will make their own bath salts and sugar scrubs using simple ingredients and soothing scents. This program is all about creativity, self-care, and taking a break from everyday stress while learning how to safely mix spa-style products. No experience needed, all supplies are provided.

Time: 6-7 p.m.

Cost: $15 per person, registration required. Ages 11-18.


SAVE THE DATE: New After-School Clubs Start in April!


Take the Stage: Creative Performance Skills 
Lights, laughter, and limitless imagination! This club invites kids to explore creativity, try new things, and express themselves freely. Through energetic games and imaginative activities, youth develop storytelling skills, teamwork, and confidence in a space where being bold and silly is always encouraged!

Tuesdays, five-week session starting April 28th.


$50 per child for five-week session. Ages 5-14.


Page to Stage: Scene Study 
From page to stage, bring stories to life! This class teaches young actors how to transform stories into dynamic performances while building confidence on stage. Students learn to collaborate with partners, explore character development, and perform short scenes in an environment that supports skill-building and self-expression. It’s an excellent space for kids to grow their acting skills, express themselves, and experience the excitement of performing together.

Wednesdays, five week session starting April 29th. 
$55 per child for five-week session. Ages 8-14 (3rd grade and up.)


All After-School Clubs take place at the Blaine Elementary School from 2:50-4 p.m.
