KLCB recently met with Lee County School District Environmental Education teachers to share ways to inspire student stewardship. Afterward, our team put words into action with a park and mangrove cleanup to help protect our coastal habitats.

KLCB’s Youth Leadership team recently led a cleanup on Frankie Court in North Fort Myers, making a big impact right in their own community. After their hard work, participants enjoyed a sweet treat courtesy of Pelican's SnoBalls. Their dedication to service continues to inspire positive change across Lee County.

We recently partnered with the Lee County Parks Natural Areas Coordinator to lead a service project at Wild Turkey Strand Preserve. FGCU students volunteered their time to stain the surrounding fences, helping maintain and enhance this valuable outdoor space for the community.

Nearly 500 volunteers removed 1,450 pounds of trash during the 11th Annual Tunaskin Beach Keepers Club Cleanup at Fort Myers Beach. Thank you to Tunaskin Aquatic Apparel for their generous support and leadership in organizing this outstanding community effort.

KLCB participated in STEM Night at Hancock Creek Elementary, where students learned about what items can and cannot be recycled and explored simple actions they can take to help protect the environment. 

KLCB was proud to participate in the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife Burrowing Owl Festival! It was a wonderful day connecting with the community, sharing ways to protect our local environment, and celebrating one of Cape Coral’s most iconic species.
