Spring into March
Happy March from Langley Pos-Abilities Society! We're looking for volunteers, sharing an article about our new community accessibility app and more!

Spotlight on Push For Accessibility
Zosia's Interview With Fraser Valley Current
Our amazing executive director, Zosia Ettenberg, talked with the Fraser Valley Current about our new initiative: Push For Accessibility. Push For Accessibility is a tool for the community to rate businesses all through the Fraser Valley on their accessibility so we can push for changes that are necessary for the entire disabled community. Please take a look at the article linked in the button below and consider volunteering to assist us with getting this pilot off the ground. It's simple! When you visit your regular places on your travels, keep an eye on what they are doing well as well as what they could improve on. Enter that information into the app and it will be available to everyone to see what places are the most accessible for them. It takes a community to create an accessible world for all.
Do you want to be part of a research study?
Are you age 40-59 with a disability? Have you been to Cultus Lake in the past two years? There is a student run study being conducted by the School of Kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley who needs volunteers to do a short interview with them so they can better understand how BC Parks can better their accessibility for people living with disabilities. This study is focusing on Cultus Lake specifically at the moment.

Accessible or Not?
Watch this video to learn about how important it is for people in wheelchairs and scooters to have proper accessible parking. Lack of proper parking in the right location can put them at risk or restricts access to their vehicle. Accessible parking isn't about convenience, it's a requirement.
The Langley Pos-Abilities Society is excited to have collaborated with SPARC BC on this project. We hope that you are as excited as we are!
