A Slow Walk
A turtle, a snail, and a sloth,
met at the edge of the lake.
It was such a beautiful day.
For a walk they wanted to take.
This was a regular thing.
They knew the trails by heart.
Only difference they ever made.
Was who gets to choose where to start.
Now, many other animals and birds.
Began to chuckle and talk.
They said it took way too long.
For those three to finish their walk.
But the turtle, the snail, and the sloth.
Were quite happy with how long it took.
No reason for walking too quickly.
While giving nature a look.
Yes, they were slow, that’s for sure.
But the object was not to go fast.
There was always so much to talk about.
It was how they made their hike last.
Yup! A turtle, a snail, and a sloth.
Knew exactly what they were doing.
They were happy with their pace as it is.
Cause it made things much better for viewing.
You see the pleasure isn’t the finishing.
It was the time together they spent.
So, they never worried about hurrying.
Only just the fact that they went.
