March 2026

What a meaningful weekend! From Galentine’s at HK Brewing Collective on Friday to our first Queen of the Court pickleball tournament at Second Summit Cider Co, people came together to have fun while supporting an important cause.

Together we raised $3,777 to support survivors in our communities.

Moments like these are a powerful reminder that supporting survivors takes all of us. Showing up, giving back, and standing alongside one another—it helps ensure survivors have access to safety, advocacy, and the support they need to move forward.

Thank you to everyone who attended, played, donated, volunteered, partnered, and cheered us on. Your support makes this work possible.

During Women's History Month, we recognize the women whose courage and determination helped shape the domestic violence movement as we know it today. Trailblazers like Erin Pizzey, who opened the world’s first women’s refuge, and Ellen Pence, whose work transformed how communities respond to abuse, helped build the foundation for survivor advocacy and support services around the world.

Pence’s work on the Duluth Model shifted the conversation by centering survivors’ experiences and highlighting the broader systems that allow abuse to persist. One of the most widely recognized tools from this work, the Power and Control Wheel, continues to help survivors and advocates understand that domestic violence is not only physical—it is about patterns of power and control.

The leadership and vision of these women continue to guide this work today, reminding us that progress is possible when people are willing to speak out, challenge systems, and advocate for safer communities for everyone.

We have an opportunity to make your impact go even further.

During March, Fight Against Domestic Violence has generously committed to match donations to our Breakfast Fundraiser up to $5,000. That means every dollar you contribute towards the breakfast can go twice as far in supporting emergency shelter, advocacy services, and resources for survivors and their children.

If you’re considering sponsoring or supporting this year’s Breakfast Fundraiser, now is the perfect time to make your gift while matching funds are available.
