Spring Cleaning? NOVA Thrift Needs Your Donations! Our shelves are currently in need of donations in all departments, including clothing, books, collectibles, glassware, dishes, and more. For a full list of items we accept, please visit our website at novabucks.org/thriftshop. Thank you for helping us turn your spring cleaning into something meaningful for the community!

Donation Hours:

Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Sunday: No Donations on Sundays

A Reminder Regarding Donations: We’re always grateful for donations and encourage donors to consider the condition of their items, especially hard goods. While we can recycle textiles, unsellable hard goods ultimately need to be disposed of, which impacts our resources. Please note that items with cracks, chips, or other damage can’t be resold. We have the right to reject items if broken, damaged, or heavily soiled.

For the safety of our team, we also kindly ask that individual donated items and bags of clothing weigh no more than 20 pounds each.

Be sure to check out our donation guidelines to see what we can and cannot accept! Thank you for your generosity and for helping us provide quality items to our community.

We're Always Accepting New Volunteers! Looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? NOVA Thrift Shop is always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference! Whether you love sorting unique thrift finds, organizing displays, assisting customers, or working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you on our team. If you are interested in volunteering, you can inquire at the shop or call Maria White, Thrift Shop Manager, at 215-249-8000.

Prevention for All: NOVA's Commitment to Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and at NOVA, we are proud to highlight prevention programs that support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).

Prevention education is a critical part of NOVA’s mission to prevent violence through training, advocacy, and education. Individuals with IDD face a significantly higher risk of abuse. Factors such as reliance on caregivers, communication barriers, and limited access to education about consent and boundaries can increase vulnerability. Many individuals also face challenges reporting abuse or navigating the justice system if harm occurs.

That’s why NOVA offers the SHARE ProgramSmart, Healthy, Appropriate Relationship Education. SHARE is a multi-session, evidence-based prevention program designed for young adults with autism and other neurodiverse conditions. Using plain language, visual supports, repetition, and role-play, SHARE teaches bodily autonomy, consent, healthy boundaries, and how to seek help.

In the past two years, more than 100 students and young adults in Bucks County have participated in SHARE. Participants build confidence in self-advocacy and boundary-setting, while learning to recognize safe and unsafe behaviors. Just as importantly, the program creates a supportive space where participants celebrate one another’s growth.

Through programs like SHARE, NOVA remains committed to ensuring that individuals with IDD have the same right to safety, dignity, and empowerment as anyone else. Prevention education helps build safer communities for everyone, and your support of NOVA Thrift Shop helps make that possible.

From Spring Cleaning to Second Chances

March is the perfect time to refresh your home and wardrobe for the new season! As you tackle your spring cleaning, take a moment to think about how your gently used items can have a second life. Rather than throwing things away, consider ways to upcycle or repurpose them. Old t-shirts can be transformed into reusable tote bags or quilts. Glass jars make perfect storage containers or plant holders. Worn furniture can become a statement piece with a fresh coat of paint or new hardware. Even outdated decor can be refreshed with a little creativity!

If an item is still in great condition but you no longer need it, donating it to NOVA Thrift Shop is another wonderful way to give it new life. Every donation helps reduce waste, supports sustainable shopping, and directly benefits NOVA’s critical services for victims of crime and our prevention education programs.

This March, let your spring cleaning be about more than just tidying up. Refresh your space, get creative with upcycling, and make a real difference in your community. Drop off your donations at NOVA Thrift Shop and see how your gently used items can continue to bring joy and purpose.
