Resident Leader Training 
Public Housing Training Update

Resident Leader Training-Concord, MA
February 28, 2019

The Mel King Institute’s Public Housing Training Program works directly with public housing residents to cultivate effective Local Tenant Organizations (LTO) in a collaborative setting. This training brought together resident leaders from Concord, Acton, Framingham, Chelsea, and Cambridge to discuss conflict resolution, updated LTO by-laws, and best practices. 
 
The training began with a partnered exercise in which participants identified five things they had in common. Other exercises included individual reflection on how participants handled conflict resolution. Residents will be holding follow-up meetings to form their own Local Tenant Organization.
