Public Housing Training Update
Resident Leader Training-Concord, MA
February 28, 2019
The Mel King Institute’s Public Housing Training Program works directly with public housing residents to cultivate effective
Local Tenant Organizations (LTO) in a collaborative setting. This training brought together resident leaders from Concord, Acton, Framingham, Chelsea, and Cambridge to discuss conflict resolution, updated LTO by-laws, and best practices.
The training began with a partnered exercise in which participants identified five things they had in common. Other exercises included individual reflection on how participants handled conflict resolution. Residents will be holding follow-up meetings to form their own Local Tenant Organization.
Upcoming Training Opportunities:
March 25 & 26, 10:00am - 3:30pm
