Melanie and Cassidy's New Beginning

Melanie* has been on her own since she was a kid and survived by living in many shelters. After her daughter Cassidy* was born, she worked harder than ever to find a safe place for them to start a new life. They recently received the exciting news about their new apartment, and the Sparrow House team had the pleasure of setting up their beautiful space and turning it into a home.

Congratulations to this lovely family, and best wishes in making many new fun and happy memories together!

A Special Donation

It is truly a special moment when a person who is experiencing food insecurity and poverty steps out of the food line to donate four nickels to the Sparrow House mission. Gene* gave his last bit of money he had in his pocket. "You guys are blessing so many people, it's the least I can do" was his sentiment to us.

We were honored to receive this priceless gift and loved being reminded that selflessness knows no bounds, regardless of situation.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

St. Vincent de Paul Society of the

Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church

Thank you to the St. Vincent de Paul Society for providing many vital items for families' new homes. We appreciate your help in getting bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms set up to complete a home, in addition to providing new clothing and shoes for family members!

Garden State Quilters Guild

A special quilter named Carol Carson, from the Garden State Quilters Guild poured a lot of love into making nine full size quilts for Sparrow House to pass along to those in need!

Each time our team helps someone settle into their new home, we gift them with a homemade quilt for an added touch of care. We are grateful to Carol for all her time, hard work, and thoughtfulness dedicated to these beautiful creations!
