It was such a blessing to go to Cucuta, Colombia this past week. Greg Sims, and Shawn McNulty went with me, and we saw God work in a great way. We were able to fit approximately 645 people with eyeglasses and we shared our testimonies and the glorious Gospel. We know that many people’s lives were impacted by the good news of Jesus Christ and many now have eyeglasses to read the Bible! We worked with IMB Missionary Elizabeth Leininger and three other missionaries. Most of the places we shared at were in mission churches, but we did have the opportunity to share in two humanitarian mission houses. Cucuta is on the border of Venezuela, and many are coming from that country as refugees. The mission houses minister to the refugees meeting people’s needs and sharing the love of Christ. We really appreciate everyone who prayed for us. Our mission is to continue going to Colombia to minister not only through eyeglass clinics, but through Evangelism and outreach. There is also a ministry to University students in Bogota where they are reaching young people with the Gospel. If you would like to know more about the ways we plan to reach the Colombian people with the Gospel, I would be glad to meet with the leaders or mission organizations of your church.
I’m sure that most of you have been paying attention to what is going on around the world and especially in Ukraine. We are seeing the events of the last days unfold before our eyes. I am sure that many of you have been praying for Ukraine! There have been many people in our Association that have been to Ukraine ministering through eyeglass clinics. Many of us have good friends over there. Please pray for the churches that God will protect them and they will be able to be a strong witness and share the hope of the Gospel during these troubled times.
We are just a few short months from Summer and that means that our camp season is approaching quickly. We will be announcing the camp dates for the children and youth camps soon. We are in need of adults and youth that would be interested in serving as a camp missionary at our camps this year. The application to serve as a camp missionary will be on our website soon. Be in prayer for our camps as we prepare for each camp.
I have said it before and I will say it again, it is a joy to serve our Pastors and our churches. My prayer is that we will continue to work together to reach our communities with the Gospel. The days are growing short as we know that our Lord’s return is very soon. We need to urgently be fulfilling the Great Commission!

Don’t throw them away–bring them to SCBN Office
