Letter from Pastor Scott
Pray for Ukraine and the World

As we watch the constant news feeds from Ukraine, we are asking many questions. Is this the beginning of a World War? Our young people have been asking about a draft. Will this be something that they are forced to enter? What happens if Russia is successful? Of course, these are only the tip of the iceberg.

Here is where I believe we are and where we can engage as of today. It is too early to tell where this is headed, but we can all agree that this is evil and not in the best interest of the Ukraine people nor the world. We are also watching China and China is watching all of the happenings occurring in the current battle. It is serious and we need to pray as if it is.

So, let's pray.

Pray for Russia to quickly withdraw its troops.

Pray for the people of Ukraine.

Pray that in all of this they see Jesus at work and that He gets the glory.

This is the least we can do and the most we can do. All war is both physical and spiritual. The good news is that we know the God of both!

In Him,
Pastor Scott

Entrance to the Cemetery is $6.00 for 65+ and $12.00 for everyone else.  You will need to bring approximately $20 for lunch and tip.

Safe Sanctuary Training This Sunday!
Sunday, March 6
3:30 – 4:30 pm
Huffine Hall

Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes [a] child ... welcomes me"
(Matthew 18:5).

Children are our present and our future, our hope, our teachers, our inspiration. They are full participants in the life of the church and in the realm of God. God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children and other vulnerable persons from abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children and adults grow safe and strong. Safe Sanctuaries is our response to this church wide challenge.

This Sunday, March 6 from 3:30 – 4:30 in Huffine Hall we will be conducting Safe Sanctuaries Training. Mimi Sanders from the North Georgia Conference will be conducting our training.

Who should take the training? You need this hour of training if you help with children, youth or the elderly in any way. Preschool, VBS, Nursery helper, Children’s Sunday School helper, Youth counselor or helper, and more. If you work with one or more of these groups, you are a prime candidate for Safe Sanctuaries Training. Have you had Safe Sanctuaries Training? You must be trained every 2 years. So, come join the fun on Sunday and get your training!!!!

Contact Robin Payne, for more information or to register, by email at [email protected]  or by phone at 770-843-3466.
