FEATURED ARTIST:

Nicol Wander

Work by Nicol Wander

Meet March featured artist: Nicol Wander.

“Puppetry encompasses a wide array of my creative talents, serving as an umbrella for various forms of my artistic expression, such as illustration, sculpting, carving, painting, and fiber arts. I find joy in performing, storytelling, and scriptwriting for my diverse puppet characters. I feel blessed to hold both a BFA in Painting and Sculpture and an MFA in Puppetry, which continually inspires me to pursue my mission of making a positive difference in the world.

As an artist, puppeteer, puppet maker, and affiliate of a worldwide plant-based health foodproduct, I am passionate about educating both the young and the young at heart on nutritional choices and future financial possibilities. Through my work, I strive to inspire others to embrace creativity and make informed decisions that contribute to a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. Ultimately, my goal is to make a meaningful impact in our communities and beyond."

Nicol is currently instructing a variety of needle felting workshops at her studio in Gardner, MA, where she also creates most of her paintings, fiber art, and puppet building. She writes, films and edits her YouTube videos in her Winchendon home space.
