Thank you note from Mrs. Andrea
Dear church family, there is no way I can express my gratitude and love to you in a paragraph. Your prayers, text messages, meals and cards packed with love helped me to get through. I am transitioning myself back into my office and want to thank my Council, our church Pastors, Elders, Ministry Groups, and FPC staff for making it possible for me to recover at home.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, be encouraged today! For we all will or have traveled pass the "darkest valley of pain, stress, sickness, depression, confusion, loss", but because of Jesus we don't stay there!  FPC has precious jewels "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ", Galatians 6:2 and I am humbled to be part of this Body of Christ.
I am catching up with my emails, text messages and phone calls, but I want you to know that I see you and I love you; thank you for being there for me. Can't wait to see you around and give you a hug!
I want to leave you with the words of the psalmist that I repeated over and over while I was on medical leave "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.   He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name's sake. Even though I walk-through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,  for you are with me; your rod and your staff,  they comfort me."
Psalm 23:1-4.
Much love,
Andrea Sartorato (AKA Mrs. Andrea!)

ONE NIGHT ONLY - MARCH 18
One of the most important God-given opportunities we have as parents is to teach our kids God's design for sex. It's also one of the more challenging subjects for parents to talk about with courage and confidence. To provide you with encouragement in this area, we are offering an equipping seminar called "Talking with Your Kids About Sex." This will be a one-time seminar offered at FPC on the evening of Wednesday, March 18, from 6:15 - 7:15 p.m. No matter the age of your children, all parents are invited to attend! It's never too early or too late to engage our kids. The seminar is a Family Equipping Ministry Team event led by Rev. Schwartz. Along with the seminar, a four-book series called "God's Design for Sex" will be available at a significantly discounted price! This highly recommended resource will be a helpful guide to you as parents in facilitating those all-important conversations. Hope to see you there!
Missions Spotlight: Community Church Ministries
For many years, First Presbyterian Church has supported the ministry of George Nix and Community Church Ministry. George seeks to build long-term relationships through regular community events, in order to minister to the needs of the unreached and those at risk. Weekly dinners, Back to School, Fall Fun, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas parties, and Easter egg hunts provide consistent platforms for sharing the Gospel of Christ.  These events are family friendly and are a great way to involve your family in serving.

Natalie & Frank Stegall with their sons Frank (6) and Oliver (3) shared, "We have enjoyed that it's a good way to just love on those in our community and find ways to share the good news about Jesus by serving a warm meal or offering a listening ear. The Easter egg hunts are really fun for a family service opportunity. We're able to provide a fun afternoon of Easter egg hunting, while also sharing the good news about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, so that we may have life!"

Nine Easter egg hunts are scheduled for this year. They need volunteers! Tasks may include: hiding Easter eggs, handing out candy, working the hotdog line, and loving on the kids and their families.
Call and let George know you will be there! 706-767-1376. The schedule is:
  • Thursday, April 2 @ 6:30:  Darlington MHP.
  • Saturday April 4 @ 12: Ashland Park Apartments

    @ 4 Graham Homes
  • Monday, April 6 @ 6:30: Callier Forest Apartments
