Poster Presentation at Packard Center ALS Research Symposium

Dr. Eleanor Thomas and Andrew Kim attended the 26th Annual Packard Center ALS Research Symposium and Andrew presented the poster. This project was funded by Hop On A Cure.

Our scientists performed proteomic analysis of blood from ALS patients treated at Emory and we were able to use this data to propose a panel of 10 proteins that can differentiate ALS from controls with very high accuracy.

FACT Relief delivered a grant check to our Emory ALS Center team in support of ongoing ALS research.

"Every dollar raised through the FACT Relief community, our donors, and events like the Quiet Hero Party helps move this work forward. This helps bring hope to families facing an ALS diagnosis and supporting the researchers working tirelessly toward better treatments and, one day, a cure.

ALS has touched so many within the FACT Relief family. This moment is a reminder that together, we are not only supporting families today, but investing in a future with more answers, more options, and more time."

The Janice Overbeck Real Estate Team’s nonprofit organization, JO Gives, proudly celebrates the success of its 2026 Celebrity Texas Hold ’Em Night, held on Saturday, January 31, at the Janice Overbeck Real Estate Team office. The annual event brought together community members, business leaders, and supporters for an unforgettable evening benefiting the Emory ALS Center. This year’s event raised an incredible $31,278.95 in support of ALS research, continuing the

meaningful legacy of the Fred Seidell Memorial ALS Texas Hold ’Em Tournament and advancing

critical funding for innovative treatment efforts.
