March 2018 Edition

February has been an amazing month as it was kicked off with the spectacular Annual Kiwanis Club Super Bowl Party, included a wonderful Valentine's Day Dinner delivered and served by Christel Truglia, her Sister Marlies Rich, and Lester McKoy. The entire month was jam-packed with visitors who delivered delicious food, beautiful gifts, and loving and supportive messages for our men and women.

March will open up with Fairfield County's Community Foundation's Giving Day and, in addition to CBIA's Connecticut Business Day at the State Capitol on March 14, we will feature a full slate of activities in our HFTB Veterans Service Center.  Look for details on all of the exciting things we have going on in this issue  of  The Perimeter

Program Highlights
We are deeply grateful to Westport Arts Center for funding through their WAC Gives Back program which provided our residents with an Arts Focus Group led by Nina Bentley. Over the course of 5 weeks, Nina worked with residents to tap into their creativity and enjoy the process of creating their own works of art. The class wasn't even over before the residents began asking Nina when she'd be back!

Partnership Highlights
CEO Vince Santilli and Board Member Eric Parker worked with iHeart Radio to create podcasts, building community awareness about the services we provide to assist homeless individuals, primarily Veterans, return to a productive and meaningful life. iHeart Radio has agreed to continue working with us each month to ensure the message is getting out and our community rallies to support our mission.
