Scholarship Applications Due by April 1st 

The Johnny Price IV Memorial College Scholarship is open to high school senior baseball players who exemplify the characteristics of the late Johnny Price IV, a Lakeville standout who often spoke of his desire to help others experience the sense of belonging that comes from being part of a team. Johnny's kindness, empathy, and thoughtfulness towards other will always live on. 
 
2017 Recipients
 
Cole Albers  - Albers was a middle infielder and pitcher for Champlin Park High School. Albers prided himself on being a quiet leader, leading by example and giving players around them a platform to get better. He always knew when someone needed a word of encouragement. Albers also spent time giving back to the community through baseball camps and other service learning projects.
 
Trent Fredenburg  - Fredenburg was a utility infielder for Anoka High School. Leading by example, his positive energy was contagious. Dedicated to always giving his all Fredenburg was a natural leader on and off the field. He spent time during the school year and summer giving back to younger baseball players in his community through camps, clinics, and helping with his local little league.

Blizzard Foundation Spotlight Player
 
Do you know a baseball player who deserves to be recognized for achievements off the field? If so, submit a nomination to have that player honored as the Blizzard Foundation's Spotlight player. The Blizzard Foundation is dedicated to encouraging baseball players who contribute positively to their community and others around them.
 
Last month's spotlight player was Dallas Miller - St. Scholastica Freshman. When not on the baseball field, Dallas spends time mentoring kids at local schools. Whether he is a mentor during reading groups or assisting with homework, Dallas uses all of these as opportunities to be a positive mentor for the students in the class.

150 High School Baseball Players Lace Up for a Night of Service

Join the Blizzard Foundation and high school athletes from around the Twin Cities on Wednesday, April 11 to pack meals at Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids.  Baseball players from Blaine, Champlin Park, Legacy, and West Lutheran will join together to work together to save lives and feed kids in a positive, energetic and team-focused environment.
 
Want to join to provide an opportunity for your team to impact hundreds of kids in just two hours? Additional slots are available for athletes from other high school teams. Reach out to Jeff Huth for more information. 


Volunteer Page Now Open!

The Blizzard Foundation continues to provide volunteer opportunities for baseball players throughout the year. We have launched a new web page that be updated with volunteer opportunities as they arise.
 
We are currently looking for five lane assistants to assist with the Reach-for-Resources bowl-a-thon on April 21. There are also opportunities for Miracle League summer coaches, perfect for one individual (age 15 or older), a pair of friends, or a parents/son/daughter.
