Seeking Performers for Orem's Got Talent |
We're looking for performers for our annual Summerfest Orem's Got Talent show on June 10, 2022.
Singers, songwriters, poets, jugglers, gymnasts, dancers, pet tricks, magicians, comedians, and pretty much any other type of talent—we want to see it all!
There will be prizes for winners and participants.

Parade Applications are Open |
The applications are open for the Summerfest Grand Parade.
This is a highlight of our celebration and we would love to have you and your organization in it!
The event will conclude our Summerfest celebration on the evening of Saturday, June 11th.

Nominate Someone for the Spirit of Orem Award |
We get to honor two individuals with the Spirit of Orem Award during Summerfest. This year's theme is "Orem United," and we want you to nominate people in our community who are great unifiers.

This year we will be adding a Free Swap event to the first Saturday of Spring Clean-Up at Palisade on April 16th.

New Planning Commissioner - Amber Pope
Amber and her family have lived in Orem for about 7 years. They enjoy attending community events and love the feelings of safety and kindness that Orem offers. She is looking forward to this opportunity to serve.

New Planning Commissioner - Madeline Komen
Madeline and her family were drawn to Orem by the schools, neighborhoods that were near to shops and restaurants, amazing parks, and the library. Close proximity to Trader Joe's is pretty awesome, too, but her favorite thing by far is the wonderful people that live here.

New Planning Commissioner - Murray Low
Murray and his family enjoyed their experience living in Orem in the '90s. After living elsewhere, they returned on the premise that Orem is full of good people and never regret their choice.

Miss Orem Collects Shoes for Charity
Miss Orem Claire Inouye is on the quest to collect 5,000 shoes for the Soles 4 Souls program. Collection boxes are in the Orem Family Fitness Center, the Orem Public Library, the Orem City Center, as well as at Runner's Corner.

Heritage Park Tank
The city is currently working on plans to facilitate drainage needs for the future tank. We also anticipate bids coming in soon to help us know where we stand in respect to our budget. Find out more at oremtank.org.

Alpine Aqueduct Project
The Central Utah Water Conservancy District reviewed feedback received during the public comment period for this project and published a report available on their website.

We have been happy to see a few snowstorms recently, but we still aren't caught up with our typical snowpack levels. Check out the regularly updated Utah levels here.

Happy Women's History Month! Join us for our annual STEM Like a Girl fair showcasing science research and experiments by women in Utah Valley.
Other programs include a performance of As You Like It by BYU Young Company, a chemistry magic show, and a special women's conference presented in Spanish by Fundación Corazón de Utah and featuring author and activist Gloria Arredondo.
