Minutes from CCDS March Meeting via Zoom
Happy Spring Everyone,

Our monthly meeting was held via Zoom on March 17. We met to discuss and review our 2021 event list as we look forward with hope and anticipation of being able to gather in some capacity. While there is still a great deal of uncertainty around the path the pandemic will follow, we have put together some events that are able to accommodate the safety protocols that are in place at the current time. Our event planning will continue to be fluid as restrictions need to be tightened/loosened per State mandate. See below for the minutes.

Our next event will be the Spring Clinic scheduled for Saturday, April 17. This will be a virtual clinic hosted by John Greenall along with our Show Managers Ann Willey and Marc Johnson. The theme is "Meet the Judge". John will present helpful insight on pleasure show tips and tricks. Other topics will cover the new ADS rules and the new dressage tests in detail and there will be ample time allotted for Q&A from participants. Stay tuned for details.

Helpful Driving Info
The Carriage Association of America (CAA) website hosts a blog with tons of helpful information on driving-related topics. Check out this one on harness care along with many other links you will see there:

Lyn Howard has retired and her Exiss trailer is for sale. It is located in Nassau, NY, and Carol has pictures of every angle - if you want details. It is on Facebook Marketplace and you can see all the photos there. It has a 4 ft dressing room and 16 feet of horse or carriage space – with a middle divider making 2 8 ft sections. There is a bed and lots of shelves – it is ready to go. Even has an extra battery so the lights will stay on when you unhitch. Asking price is $13,000. Contact Carol cfrank@nycap.rr.com if you would like to know more.
Susan and Jack Guswa of Northampton, MA, sadly lost their beloved Morgan of 30 years and are offering some equipment for sale/donation. In addition to a two-wheeled Glinkowski marathon/road cart, they also have for sale two leather harnesses (Smuckers and Driving Essentials) in very good condition.
