Michigan is a Top 10 Vegan State
A study by San Diego State University ranked Michigan as a top 10 vegan state. So many of you reading this deserve a lot of credit for helping popularize plant-based eating in Michigan. Together we are doing everything we can to change the eating habits of Michiganders. We feel this is the kindest, most healthy, and sustainable way to eat, and we want to share this message with everyone we know. Many of us have different approaches, but we share one goal, and we thank you for your efforts. Promoting plant-based eating has been the mission of VegMichigan for more than 20 years, and this study is validation that our hard work is paying off. We promote a plant-based lifestyle through our festivals, presentations, programs, tailgates, giveaways, and other ways, which focus on education and delicious plant-based food. This is proving to be a winning combination. VegMichigan will organize more than 100 events this year, and having individuals try plant-based foods for themselves is proving to be one of the most powerful ways to get individuals to add more plant-based items to their diet. We have grown from a group of dedicated volunteers to an organization with four full-time employees, and we will spend more than $25,000 this year in food alone to give out to individuals who are new to plant-based eating. We feel we have a successful model, and with your help, we can reach every nook and cranny of Michigan. We thank our members and donors! If you value the work we do, please consider becoming a member or making a donation.
