Hi KKC Members,
Slowly but surely, the return to normal life continues! We are so glad to be part of the return to normalcy of our larger community.
The big news from February: Doubles Tennis is Back! Using a county allowance for recreational athletics among "cohorts", groups of up to 6 can now play doubles tennis with each other. Many members have already signed up and are back on the courts.
Over at the swimming pool, we are overdue to have the pool surface replastered, along with associated updates, and a new ad hoc committee is being formed to select the right vendor and oversee the project. If you have some experience with pool or similar construction/renovation projects, please let us know - we need your help!
The Board continues its talks with the production of an independent movie that wants to shoot a few scenes at Kona Kai. We hope to reach an agreement soon, and you may see the club become a movie set for a few days this spring.
Thanks to all members for your continuing cooperation with the limitations to facility access during the ongoing pandemic. Please note that the tennis bathrooms may be used by swimmers changing while the locker rooms are still closed; please be understanding.
