New Haven in HO-scale

March 8, 2023 - 7:30 pm

Rick Abramson presents his highly detailed recreation of the New Haven Railroad in the 1950s and 1960s. Featured in Great Model Railroads 2020, Rick's model railroad faithfully represents the look and feel of the New Haven, including extensive sections under catenary.

This presentation is open to the public.

Northeast Large Scale Train Show

April 28 & 29, 2023

Eastern States Exposition

West Springfield, Massachusetts

The Amherst Railway Society is sponsoring the Northeast Large Scale Train Show in April at Eastern States Exposition.

The show will be smaller than the Railroad Hobby Show - just one building. However, it will feel a lot like the January show with operating layouts, vendors, and clinics.

Large scale includes S, O, G, F and larger scale railroad models.

Extra Board

The Extra Board is a new service from the Amherst Railway Society that matches experienced modelers with individuals needing specialized help with a model railroad project or problem. We are fortunate to have many skilled modelers in our organization willing to share their talents and abilities.

The Extra Board is an effort to help less experienced modelers develop their skills and fully enjoy the model railroad hobby.
