Basketball - Our 7th grade boys' varsity basketball team took to the court this year for the first time in two years. The boys' team was a fiercely competitive group. They learned a lot about competition, teamwork, and participation. Their season they had 2 wins and 5 losses, but the win/loss record is not always accurate in assessing a successful season. This season the boys were competitive in every game, despite the other teams' advantages. Our boys worked hard, and never quit. Coaches from the other teams often commented that Garry’s team had great heart, meaning they played hard all the time, and they were impressed with their "never say die" attitude. Congratulations on a very competitive season.

Some individual awards that were handed out at the end of the season pizza celebration included:

Most Improved – Sincere Kaczor
Beast on the Boards – Ja’hime London
Mr. Hustle – Jayvion Ward
Defensive MVP – Malikye Fletcher
Offensive MVP – Tyson Tschabold

Wrestling - We have had a great turnout for girls' and boys' wrestling. With 35 students participating, this is the most wrestlers we have ever had on the team! Their first meet is on March 2, 2022, at Salk Middle School. The 8th grade girls' and boys' basketball team will play on March 3, 2022. The girls will play at Shaw Middle School and the boys will play at Spokane Garry Middle School. They have all been practicing hard and it will be a great season!
