Tue-Wed-Fri, Mar 3,4 & 6, 10am-12pm, Heritage Skills - Introduction to Quilting. Learn the art of creating a beautiful half-square triangle table runner or wall hanging-perfect for adding a handmade touch to your home. Whether you're brand new to quilting or just looking to refresh your skills, their expert guidance and friendly teaching style will help you stitch with confidence and creativity. Personal sewing machine required. Youth ages 12-15 are welcome and must register and be accompanied with a paid, registered adult. $30 fee. 


Thu, Mar 5th 10-11am, Little Farmers - Green: Salad. A playful preschool series where each month explores a new color through hands-on activities, snacks, stories, and nature or farm-inspired fun. $5 per child, max $10 per family. 


Sat, Mar 7, 10:00-11:30am, Farm Kids Club - Critter Crew! Get up close and personal with nature’s coolest critters! We'll meet arthropods, amphibians, reptiles, aves, and more! Let's explore the science behind their amazing features in this interactive class. $10 per child, $20 max per family. 


Wed, Mar 11, 12pm, Lunch & Learn - Raised Bed Gardening. Rachel will share the secrets to successful raised beds and containers, how to get started, and what to grow for success. See the Agriplex raised beds for inspiration. Registration includes light lunch, $10 fee. Youth ages 12-15 are welcome and must register and be accompanied with a paid, registered adult.

 

Thurs, Mar 12, 3-5pm, Military Vet. & Begin Farmer - Equipment Demo Day. This event will feature equipment available for rent to small farmers through the Operation Grow HELP program. Attendance to the training qualifies participants to rent equipment. This event will be held at Wallace State Community College. Free class but registration required.


Fri, Mar 13, 9-11am, Heritage Homeschool Elementary - Charlotte's Web. Explore the barnyard world of Wilbur, Charlotte, and their friends as you hear the story come to life with games, activities, and live animal encounters. $15 per student, $30 max per family.  


Fri, Mar 13, 12-2pm, Heritage Homeschool Secondary - Ag Engineering Challenge.

Think like an agricultural engineer to tackle hands-on design challenges and creative problem-solving inspired by real-life farm needs. $15 per student, $30 max per family. 


Fri, Mar 20, 9am-2pm, Living Landscapes - Organic Growing Workshop. This organic growing workshop focuses on building a thriving garden ecosystem using natural, sustainable methods. Participants will learn how to enhance soil health, implement effective natural weed and pest control, and use organic fertilization techniques for abundant, nutrient-dense harvests. Learn to identify local flora and taste Darryl's best recipes. Registration includes light lunch. $10 fee. Tue, Apr 7, 6-8pm, Heritage Skills - Boundary Line Bison Ranch. Come explore the ranch’s rich history and meet the majestic bison herd. See beautifully preserved hides and skulls, learn about heritage practices, and shop pasture-raised meat, natural herbs, and handcrafted goods—all rooted in tradition and sustainability. Youth ages 12-15 are welcome and must register and be accompanied with a paid registered adult. $15 fee.  


Thurs, Apr 9, 6-8pm, Military Veteran & Begin Farmer - High Tunnel Production (Part 1). Learn the ins and outs of high tunnel production including crop selection, construction tips, and growing techniques. Free class but registration required. 


Fri, Apr 10, 9-11am, Heritage Homeschool Elementary - I am a Forest Defender. The Alabama Forestry Commission will lead an engaging discussion on fire & forestry, explaining how fire shapes our forests. Get an up-close look at the tools and equipment used to manage and fight wildfires. $15 per student, $30 max per family. 


Fri, Apr 10, 12-2pm, Heritage Homeschool Secondary - Pottery & Propagation Practice. Learn the art of plant propagation and then create your own unique pet-inspired planter. Led by Keramos Ceramics. $30 per person.

Enjoy an evening with Stephanie Carroll from Thrive Flower Farm and the Agriplex's Sonya Boyd, harvesting and designing a backyard bouquet while gathering information on best backyard flower practices to keep a beautiful, disease-resistant cut flower garden.
