Bridges of Hope's Monthly Prayer Calendar
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
Romans 6:4

Towards the bitter end of winter, most Minnesotans are hopeful of warmer weather and signs of spring (not the continuing fall of snow as we've experienced this February!). While we don't yet see any manifestations of our desires, many of us will still make the preparations for spring's (long awaited) arrival.
Spring is synonymous with new beginnings and clean slates; to me, it's no coincidence that Christ's resurrection is during that very season. After months of forging through this frigid tundra, we are all anxious for the renewal of seasons and promises of green and growth; not unlike the renewal of our soul, heart and mind upon committing to the Lord.

Romans 12:2 tells us "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." We know without a doubt that at some point Spring will come, in God's perfect timing. Know, too, that God's will will be done; so make the same preparations for His coming as you would for the coming of Spring. Walk in the newness He gives, and take comfort in the promises He makes.
