Prayer Partner Alliance
March 2018

As we enter into the spring season, we reflect on the bountiful blessings of our Lord God and His great love that continues to renew us each day. We are grateful for the opening of the new men's home, and humbled by the incredible things this ministry has been able to accomplish through God's power and in His perfect timing.

We look forward to filling the men's home with residents that God has already ordained to join us, and we continue to prayerfully consider the next steps our ministry will take to continue to share God's love and serve our community.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. May God richly bless you!

Men's Home Dedication Ceremony
The Dedication Ceremony was held on February 25th at our newly completed men's home.  We had over 100 people join us at this special  event to  dedicate this home to the glory of our Lord. The ladies from the women's home were present to help with registration and celebrate with others in attendance.

Board Member Jeff Buchholz served as the Master of Ceremonies and introduced Dr. Mark Gonzales, Executive Director of Royal Palm Baptist Association, who spoke on the beauty of child-like faith. Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Naples Dr. Hayes Wicker led the closing prayer, and Pat Ellis, a Board member and mother to one of the new male residents, offered closing remarks.  It was a joyous occasion to celebrate all that God has done and is going to do in the lives of the men that will live in the home.

"I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever."
Psalm 86:12
A Night To Shine!

The women of Protected Harbor were blessed to attend a Night to Shine at New Hope Ministries Church in Naples. The ladies got their nails, makeup, and hair done earlier in the day at a salon.  Their nails matched their outfits, and a few had an added hairpiece to complete their look. As they filed in one by one, they showed off their nails and started to get dressed for their big night.  Jacob, a new resident of the men's home, anxiously awaited the arrival of his mother who had his tux.  The ladies quickly transformed into princesses awaiting their special night with a limo ride, carriage ride, photos and dancing.
They had a fabulous night with their "dates" and danced the night away with a conga line, swaying and bumping in a large crowd of dancers.  Janie took extra special time to make a heart craft and give it to Board Member Alyssa Hayes who had helped the women get ready.  Posing for pictures was also great fun.  It was truly a chance for the Jacob and the women to let their light shine. When asked about their favorite part of the evening, it was unanimous... "The dancing!!!"
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. It is centered on God's love for people with special needs ages 14 and older. This year on February 9, 2018, more than 540 churches from around the world came together to host Night to Shine for approximately 90,000 honored guests through the support of 175,000 volunteers!

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven"
Matthew 5:16
 Love Naples Day

On Saturday February 17th First Baptist Church Naples sent over 20 volunteers to Protected Harbor's Men's home as a part their Love Naples Day mission. Moms and Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas, children, high school and college kids all showed up with gloves, shovels, cleaning supplies, and their red Love Naples shirts. They planted over 30 bushes along the back fence of the home, washed the windows of the home inside and out and even cleaned the van! We are so grateful for Kevin Taylor and his team for the work they did and the LOVE they spread! Job well done!

"My command is this: love each other as I have loved you."

Marco Lutheran Foundation Grant

We were recently awarded a grant from the Marco Lutheran Foundation. This grant will go to directly support e ach of six residents in the new Men's Home. Each resident will have their basic needs met through provision of everyday items for personal hygiene, sleeping, preparing meals, and eating.

This grant will be distributed  by the staff of the group home who will use a move-in checklist to ensure that each resident has the items needed for personal hygiene, sleeping, preparing meals and eating. We are so thankful for the opportunity given to us and we are almost as excited as our new residents for our journey to begin.

"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19
