Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser and Dessert Cook-off

On Sunday, March 16th, the Deacons, Children, and Youth will be hosting a Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser and Dessert Cook-off!

Deacons will be cooking the spaghetti, while children and youth will have various roles such as helping serve the food and drinks, cleaning up, greeting at the entrance, getting refills, etc.

This lunch has multiple goals. One of those goals is partnering children and youth so they can build relationships with one another. Another goal is giving our children and youth the opportunity to serve others and serve together. A third goal is giving the larger church body the chance to see what we are doing in the children's and youth ministries. And the final goal is to raise money for camp this summer. Even if your child is not attending camp, we would love for them to join us in this event as we seek to love and serve a meal to those within our church.

If your child(ren) will be serving, please follow the link below to register them so we know how many kids to expect and can plan their roles accordingly.

Spring Festival

RBC's Spring Festival is back! Join us on Sunday, April 6th from 4pm-6pm. This year we will have egg hunts, a petting zoo, games, hamburger and hot dog meals for sale, and more! We really want to us this event to reach/build relationships with those in our immediate community. We want to get to know their needs, desires, passions, and how we can serve and love them.

There are many ways to serve for this event. Be on the lookout at the beginning of March for the various roles we have available as well as the donation needs we have.

Go ahead and start inviting your neighbors to this exciting evening!

Spring Sings

Spring’s song is coming again, and award-winning recording artist Ellie Holcomb knows that we’re all invited to sing along! Her lyrical words encourage young readers to watch as the world slowly wakes—from the trees and flowers to the birds and bunnies—and to know that the new life of spring also retells the story of God’s Son. Along with this board book, Ellie will release companion children’s music. Her joyous celebration encourages young readers to delight in God’s gift of springtime and to realize that each bird and bloom is a reminder that His love can make all things new.

What Will You Teach Me?

What Will You Teach Me? follows a group of adorable, whimsical animals as they discover that everything we learn was created by God. Your child will love finding little details in Pablo Pino’s illustrations and watching two bear cubs learn their letters, numbers, music, food, right and wrong, and that

God is the creator of all those things!

The Rabbit Listened

When something sad happens, Taylor doesn't know where to turn. All the animals are sure they have the answer. The chicken wants to talk it out, but Taylor doesn't feel like chatting. The bear thinks Taylor should get angry, but that's not quite right either. One by one, the animals try to tell Taylor how to act, and one by one they fail to offer comfort. Then the rabbit arrives. All the rabbit does is listen . . . which is just what Taylor needs.

With its spare, poignant text and irresistibly sweet illustration, The Rabbit Listened is about how to comfort and heal the people in your life, by taking the time to carefully, lovingly, gently listen.

Polly and the Screen Time Overload

Technology can be a helpful tool and source of enjoyment for many families―a way to aid children with learning, to connect with loved ones, and to provide entertainment. But as with many good gifts from God, tech devices are best used in moderation.

In this picture book, readers meet Polly while on a trip to her grandparents’ farm. During her visit she spends all her time on her new tablet instead of enjoying the farm animals and playing with her cousins. A chat with her grandfather teaches her that, though screen time can be good, it can also keep kids away from better things. Using simple language and beautiful illustrations, children ages 3–7 are introduced to the idea that technology is best enjoyed within boundaries.
