March Madness!

Spring is here and along with that we have had every type of weather imaginable. One day we have freezing temperatures and the next day I need galoshes to skip through the puddles of water everywhere.


Spring break is this month! Whoop Whoop!! As if I needed to tell you.

Women's History Month

Spring into March and celebrate Women's History month. The library has purchased a lot of books about inspiring women and their amazing contributions to our country and beyond. Look for them in the teen section near the graphic novels!

Dungeons & Dragons will be continuing through April! Every Sunday from 2-5pm join volunteer Alex Guevara in the lab classroom as he teaches you about everything D & D.

Paint Your Own Plant Pot

Saturday, March 11 | 3-5pm


Paint or decoupage a recycled yogurt container. Then plant a small plant or plant starter in your decorated container. Learn about the care of plants and seed starting!

Aspen Science Center Coding Club

Eight Tuesdays, January-April | 4-6pm


Learn Python (the most useful coding language) in a fun, engaging, and casual environment on the following Tuesdays:

  • March 14 and 21
  • April 11 and 25

This course is led by Baker Casagrande, an educator for the Aspen Science Center, who studied Computational Physics (Computer Physics) at Colorado College. Perfect for 8th-10th grade and any experience level! Join us in the Library Lab. Learn more and sign up!

One Thursday a Month | 5-7pm

Are you a fan of graphic novels?


Staff at Pitkin County Library are! If you do like reading graphic novels, make a personal graphic novel summer reading list. Then log all the graphic novels you read for Teen Summer Reading!

3D Printing & Design Workshop

June 26-June 29 | 9am-1:30pm

July 5-July 8 | 9am-1:30pm


No previous experience is necessary. For ages 13-18. More information forthcoming. Sign up for one of the summer workshops.
