Happy March, Spartans! We have a lot going on this month for you!

A.S. Elections are underway! We have events lined up for you to meet the candidates for A.S. Board of Directors 2020-2021. For all elections-related information, visit sjsu.edu/as/vote

In support of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients at SJSU, your A.S. Board has voted to provide $15,000 towards DACA renewal processing fees. For inquiries, please contact the UndocuSpartan Resource Center at (408)924-2762 or undocuspartan@sjsu.edu

We also voted to provide $15,000 to help students dealing with homelessness. We want to help ensure that our students receive the support and help needed to be succeed in college. Please contact the A.S. Government office at (408)924-6241 for any questions.  

SJSU is conducting the Campus Climate Survey from February 25th - March 20th. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to complete the survey to share any concerns and opinions.

Do you or someone you know demonstrate leadership skills and give back to their communities? You can nominate yourself or a fellow Spartan for the distinguished A.S. 55 Award! You have until Friday, March 20th to submit your nominations. 

Love seeing live performances? Spartans Got Talent is happening on Tuesday, March 17th, from 5-7pm in the Student Union Theater! Prizes await contestants and audience members too.

Creating Homes for Native Bees

Did you know that three-fourths of the world’s flowering plants and around 35% of the world’s food crops depend on pollination by animals? Bees are one of the many important pollinators that we rely on for the food we eat. Learn more about how we can help native bees. Learn how to make bee homes for the garden and the community. Succulent-Inspired Painting
03/25, Wednesday, 12-1pm: A.S. Campus Community Garden
Paint a picture of the beautiful succulents growing in our garden. Then take it home to decorate your walls. All materials will be provided. No experience necessary.
The community garden is located at 372 E. San Salvador and 8th Streets, across from the Dining Commons.
