Kent School District March 15, 2019
Promises Made Promises Kept. Your tax dollars at work.
As we wait for spring weather, our Facilities and Construction team is hard at work on bond and levy projects.

Keep reading to find updates on the progress of the projects voted on by our community for technology, building, and critical repair projects. We are investing in our community’s assets – our students and schools.
New School & Academy Site
Voters approved two new elementary schools funded by the 2016 Bond.

Covington Elementary opened this school year, and is a beautiful facility where learning happens every day.

The second elementary school will be built on the current site of Kent Mountain View Academy (KMVA) with major construction beginning in 2020.

At the end of this school year, KMVA will be moving to the campus of Kent Phoenix Academy (KPA) while a new academy site is in development at the old Panther Lake Elementary School on the corner of 108th and 240th.

The new academy facility for both KMVA and KPA is in the design phase and scheduled to open in the fall of 2021.
