As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17, NIV)
March 2021 Week 1 Prayers
Prayers of thanks for CCIH members and others serving in short-term medical missions, especially in times of crisis and emergency relief, as well as part of church missions providing much-needed care. Pray that these missions also help strengthen the capacity of local care providers. See CCIH statement on standards for STMM

Pray for vaccine equity and for the success of the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines in many places across the globe. Ghana has become the first country to receive coronavirus vaccines through the Covax vaccine-sharing initiative as 600,000 doses arrived in Accra February 24. Prayers of thanks for the World Council of Churches lifting up the Christian voice and the call for Vaccine Equity. See Christian Network Statement on Vaccine Equity

March 8 is International Women's Day. Pray for women and girls everywhere. Pray they have access to education and health services to thrive. Prayers of thanks for the work of the Christian Health Association of Liberia (CHAL) in safe motherhood and child survival. CHAL member facilities provide a full range of high quality maternal health services that empower women to live healthy and full lives.

Please let us know how we can pray for your work. Contact kathy.erb@ccih.org with prayer points or for more information about organizations and prayer points mentioned.
