| Meet Lexi |
Many of you shared our sorrow when you heard the news that beloved Kiawatha passed away. She & London were the first wolves people saw during a sanctuary tour; they were together for five years.
London suffered a hard couple of weeks following her death. In late February, Wolf Haven staff flew to California and picked up Lexi, a 10 year old wolf or wolfdog from Lockwood Animal Rescue Center (LARC). Lexi is the fifth animal from the now-defunct Wolf Country in Alaska to come to live at Wolf Haven (along with Eve, Bono, Klondike and Samantha). LARC rescued them and 24 others from this tourist attraction, where they each lived on an 8-foot drag chain.
Every wolf introduction of at our sanctuary is unique, as are the animals themselves. London & Lexi's introduction was beautiful and we'd like to share it here.
