The PBC is offering some great events this month and beyond!

These events provide various educational and networking opportunities for PBC members, which upholds the PBC's mission to provide advocacy, support, and awareness to businesses in and around the Penfield community for our members.
We encourage all our PBC members to become involved in the PBC by taking advantage of all its member benefits, including these FREE or discounted networking events and programs, as well as participation in contests, media postings, and becoming a sponsor for one (or more!) or our PBC programs.
Your membership involvement in the Penfield Business Chamber is only as good as what you make it, so take advantage of all it has to offer!
The PBC is always looking for businesses and organizations that would like to host, sponsor and/or volunteer at an event. PBC's March Business of the Month: |
Please join us in congratulating PBC member, Water for South Sudan (WFSS) as the PBC's March Business of the Month!
They have now drilled more than 600 water wells in South Sudan, serving half a million people with clean water every day in the world's newest country.
They have been located at their current office in Penfield since 2009, which oversees the entire international organization, and has the support from donors in all 50 states, and 60 other countries!
Water for South Sudan was founded by former "Lost Boy of Sudan" Salva Dut, who lived in Penfield with the Moore family. Founded in 2003, It is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year!

Register Now for the Student Summer Job Fair!

The PBC will once again be partnering with the PTSA for its Student Summer Job Fair! The Job Fair will be held at Penfield High School on Friday, May 5, 2023 during lunch periods (9:50 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Vendor set-up time is 9:30 a.m.).
If you will have a need and/or opportunity for student summer employment, your attendance at this Job Fair is a Must! This is an excellent opportunity for both students and companies in need of summer employment/internship opportunities. This is also an excellent opportunity to bring awareness to your company and introduce students--many who will be entering into the workforce--of the type of work that you do. There is no cost to participate!
Participants are encouraged to bring their signage, job applications, and promotional materials. Tables and chairs will be provided.

You can help support the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf by helping to keep a specific shelf stocked throughout the year. Once a quarter you can drop off your collected items. Whatever amount you are able to collect from your group, business, neighborhood, etc.
Whether it be five items or 50 items, we are grateful for your support! Please contact our Adopt A Shelf Coordinator at debroschetzky@yahoo.com for more information and what shelves we need filled.
You can drop the items in a chute at the Food Shelf, 24/7, or by appointment if you have a lot to drop off.
Your support is most appreciated. Thank you for helping the Penfield Community!

World Water Day, Wednesday, March 22 |
Join Water for South Sudan trivia night with Geeks Who Drink "Quiz for a Cause!"
7 p.m. at Mullers Cider House, 1344 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14607
For a small suggested entry fee of $5 per player (up to 6 team members), you can join the evening's quiz. The winning team will get a cash prize (if contributing to the entry fee), and the remaining funds will help Water for South Sudan continue to provide rural villages in South Sudan with access to clean water.
No RSVP is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
