Recent events brought together passionate supporters, community leaders, and organizations working to make a difference, demonstrating the impact that happens when people gather around a shared cause.

SnowBall 2026: A Magical Winter Evening

On March 4, 50 Sussex came alive for SnowBall: A Cool Winter’s Eve. Created and produced by KoW Connected, the evening brought together community leaders, partners, and supporters for a vibrant night in support of The Snowsuit Fund, featuring culinary stations, cocktails, live entertainment, and immersive experiences.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make the evening such a success. Events like SnowBall play an important role in ensuring The Snowsuit Fund can continue its work as the need in our community continues to grow.

This year, 21,300 snowsuits were distributed across the region — the highest number in the organization’s 44-year history and a powerful reminder of how essential community support is in helping meet this increasing need.

100 Women+ Who Care: Collective Impact in Action

On March 2, 100 Women+ Who Care Ottawa gathered once again to make a powerful impact in our community. Together, members raised $17,755 (and counting!) to support three remarkable organizations making a difference locally.

Even more exciting, this gathering helped the group reach an incredible milestone — $503,076 donated to local charities since its inception.

Three organizations were invited to present their work: The Snowsuit Fund, University of Ottawa Ovarian Cancer Research, and BGC Ottawa — Walk This Way.

Announcement: Sponsorship Opportunities for Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival

Sponsor applications are now open for the Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival, taking place June 20–21 at Wesley Clover Parks.

Recognized as Canada’s largest Indigenous arts festival, the event brings together Indigenous artists, performances, culinary experiences, and cultural programming that celebrate the richness and diversity of Indigenous cultures.

Mādahòkì Farm Summer Camp

Adventure, Culture, and Connection

This summer, children can experience the outdoors in a meaningful way at Mādahòkì Farm’s Summer Camp.

Campers spend their days discovering the land, caring for farm animals and Ojibwe Spirit Horses, and participating in Indigenous cultural activities, creative challenges, and guided play, all led by experienced educators and Cultural Ambassadors.

It’s a week designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting connections with nature.
