Hello fellow neighbors!
I'm sure there are going to be a lot of announcements in the newsletter as we get closer to spring and all our activities so I'll try not to be redundant.
The ties around the trees around the clubhouse area do NOT mean they are getting cut down. Those ties are there to identify the trees we have on our property. It was required of us to do a tree survey before we could take the next step in our master plan amenity projects.
The social committee is gearing up for the Easter Egg extravaganza. It will be Saturday, April 1st with all the fun games and entertainment we always have but this year the eggs will have candy/prizes in them not just lucky eggs with baskets numbers. So hoping that change will bring smiles to all our little egg hunters.
I was sad to see that there was some illegal dumping in DeWitt grant on Sabinal River. I want to thank those that reached out to me to report the littering and also fellow board member Gabby and her husband for coming and helping me remove the debris. That mess could not wait till Monday to be cleaned up! Please keep your eyes out and report anyone that is polluting our beautiful neighborhoods so we can hold those people accountable.
Thank you to all those who donated to the school supply drive! Our association paired up with Hoffmann Elementary PTA to replenish classroom supplies for both Hoffmann teaches and Westwood Terrace Elementary teachers. A special thanks to Marisol Escobar who works for Operation Home Front for donating 4 boxes worth of supplies. The teachers were so thankful!
I traveled to the Capitol in Austin on March 1st to advocate for Homeowner's rights and push back on POA legislation on behalf of our community. I will be giving a report on that at the next board meeting if anyone is interested in what house bills and senate bills are going to be submitted about property owner laws.
As always I'm available by email for any questions or comments :)
