2020 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress

As in years past, more than 40,000 people participated in the Annual Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, CA. In preparation for the event, our committee developed innovative marketing materials including bilingual stickers and attractive banners to help visitors understand the scope of activities, issues and ministries of our CSJ community. Sisters and associates staffed the booth and had a delightful time talking to old and new friends, who placed their names on stickers that were affixed to our wheel of CSJ connections.

Northwest Sisters and Associates Respond to Environmental Crisis

The Northwest sisters and associates read the introduction to Laudato Si and discussed questions from “A Reader’s Guide to Laudato Si". Following the discussion, the group shared suggestions for individual action steps they were willing to commit to and wrote them on paper hearts. Everyone agreed to continue reading the encyclical on their own and be prepared to discuss it in their future meetings. Here is the list of ideas shared by the group.

Archdiocesan Jubilee Celebration

Sisters from Carondelet Center in Los Angeles, CA attended the Archdiocesan Jubilee Celebration at the Our Lady of Angeles Cathedral. Sister Teresa Marie McIntier lead the procession as the only 80+ year jubilarian in attendance. She was joined at the celebration by CSJ Jubilarians Sisters Kathleen Martin, Louise McDonald, Maria Dolores Muñoz, Kathleen Ann DuRoss and other sisters from Carondelet Center. All enjoyed a delightful dinner together following the Cathedral festivities.
