Family Connection Spotlight:
2022 Spring Break Invasion
Our Family Connection team was thrilled to spend spring break hosting small groups of children for a variety of fun, educational field trips all across the DFW area!

Over spring break, 106 children from six partnering shelters and homeless-serving sites attended at least one of our "2022 Spring Break Invasion" festivities. These mentored outings included experiences at Klyde Warren Park, Immersive Van Gogh Dallas, Nash Farm, House of Shine, Dallas Zoo and Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this spring break an unforgettable one for the children we serve!
Community Connection Spotlight:
National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week
In honor of National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week last week, our Community Connection team spread the word and celebrated at Nathaniel Hawthorne Elementary’s open house by providing prizes, candy and fun, educational activity sheets created by the team's very own Robert Lopez.

The Community Connection team values community opportunities to let children and youth know that there is no fun and no play when it comes to drugs, but that doesn’t mean that learning about drug and alcohol prevention and making healthy choices can’t be fun!
