Family Connection Spotlight:
Spring Break Camp
Over spring break, Rainbow Days' Family Connection team was thrilled to host 36 children experiencing homelessness for the 2021 Spring Break Camp held at Ascend Camp and Retreat Center. There, campers enjoyed outdoor activities like horseback riding, zip-lining and sports as well as interactive science and art classes that made learning fun and engaging for them. The camp was a great way for the kids to decompress and bond with peers and positive mentors, especially amidst the added stressors this school year has brought.

Rainbow Days Training Spotlight:
Training Impact
Rainbow Days’ virtual workshops and CBSG® Facilitator Training equip individuals, organizations, schools and communities with the skills and tools they need to create positive change for the children, youth and families they serve.

Hear firsthand from Chris Garcia, a prevention specialist at Mid-Coast Family Services who has been trained in Rainbow Days' curricula, about the impact of the CBSG® Program in the lives of youth in the community he serves.
This month, Rainbow Days Training will be hosting its next CBSG® Program Facilitator Virtual Training on April 13-14 as well as a series of virtual workshops for youth-serving professionals. Check out the Rainbow Days Training website to learn more and register for all upcoming training offerings.
Community Connection Spotlight:
Family Group Survey
Rainbow Days' Community Connection team would love to hear from you regarding your interest in participating in weekly virtual family groups with parents/guardians and children. The aim of these groups is to help strengthen and support families and foster and/or improve communication between parents/guardians and children.

If you would be interested in participating or learning more about these groups, complete this brief survey to express your interest and get the chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card. Two gift cards will be awarded.
Celebrating Women's History
We love sharing stories about young people who faced adversity and achieved success, just like the kids we work with at Rainbow Days! In honor of Women's History Month, Rainbow Days is proud to share the story of Gloria Bradford, the first Black woman to graduate from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin.

To learn more about Gloria's inspiring story, check out an educational coloring book written by Jasmine Wynton, a Rainbow Days board member and partner at Thompson Coburn LLP.
