Meet Phoebe!
Phoebe is a shy lady who really wants a person she can trust and love.
She prefers to spend all of her time with her human and gets lonely if you leave her alone for too long.
Phoebe would prefer a home where her adopter works from home or can otherwise stay with her for a large amount of time. To live her best life, she would also need to be the only dog in the home.

HSC Spotlight: Community CATsnip
|
Join the Humane Society of Charlotte for our first-ever Community Cat TNR surgery event on Monday, March 18!
TNR, or Trap-Neuter-Return, prevents the reproduction of unowned community cats by getting them to our clinic for spay or neuter. We have spots for 60 cats from Mecklenburg County
ONLY
and all surgeries are free thanks to a generous grant. TNR surgeries include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, ear-tip, and microchip.
Cats and kittens must weigh at least 2 lbs to be eligible for surgery. To be eligible day-of, cats must be secured in a trap upon arrival, one cat per trap. Traps can be borrowed from HSC.
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - SiGN UP ASAP - Spots are limited!
Drop Off: 8 - 8:30 am. Caretakers will pick up their cats 3:30 - 4 pm

Special Volunteers Needed for Pet Palooza 2019
|

Calling all volunteers - we need you on April 27 for Pet Palooza 2019!
HSC is accepting new volunteers for our Pet Palooza event - no volunteer orientation necessary! We'll need volunteers to help us with a variety of tasks from load-in early in the morning, to clean up in the evening. Grab some volunteer hours and hang out with all the pups in Charlotte!

Pet Palooza Walk for the Animals

The competition is on. Fundraising for Pet Palooza has started and we're nearly half-way to our goal! Help raise money for the animals at the Humane Society of Charlotte by signing up today!
Pet Palooza 2019 will feature a 3k walk along the wide, dog-friendly paths of McAlpine Creek Park as well as a vendor fair, adoption area, music, a picnic pavilion, kids zone, food trucks, live music, and now a special VIP area for top fundraisers! Come help us make a difference for the animals in Charlotte.

National Puppy Day Pet Fair
Saturday, March 23 | 11 am - 2 pm
EnergyExplorium at McGuire Nuclear Station | 13339 Nuclear Station Road, Huntersville
It’s time for the 2nd annual National Puppy Day Pet Fair at McGuire Nuclear Station’s EnergyExplorium from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. The pet fair will feature pet sitting, boarding, and organic treat vendors, pet adoptions by local rescues, dog trainers, pet accessories, and more! McGuire Nuclear Station’s picturesque education center, known as the EnergyExplorium, will feature the outdoor pet fair. HSC will be on-site to give out information about our programs.
