March Together for Life!
Gala on Saturday was a Big Success!
Greetings!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Gala this past Saturday, especially our patrons and Presenting Sponsors, Kurt and Susan Crosby! What a wonderful evening to celebrate life and adoption! Senator Katrina Jackson was inspiring as she accepted our Proudly Pro-Life Award, and Stephen & Alex Kendrick excited our audience with news of their upcoming film on adoption. Take a look at a few photos from the evening!

Now, we as we approach the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade this Saturday, we prepare to march together for life! Join us Saturday in Baton Rouge at 10 a.m., Shreveport at 10 a.m., and Lake Charles at 6 p.m., and then on Sunday join us at 2 p.m. in Monroe. There will also be local marches in Eunice, Marksville, Natchitoches, Mandeville, and New Iberia. Please share the word!

For a Pro-Life Louisiana,
Benjamin Clapper

P.S. As we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are thrilled to announce that Tara Wicker, former City Councilwoman in Baton Rouge, is our new leader of Louisiana Black Advocates for Life! She is a leader who fights for justice for the born and the unborn. Meet her on a virtual meeting tomorrow at noon!
Louisiana and New Orleans Right to Life Founder Bob Winn Passes Away
We are heartbroken to share that our founder and board member Robert "Bob" E. Winn passed away last Thursday. As a young attorney, Bob launched the pro-life movement in Louisiana by founding New Orleans and Louisiana Right to Life in 1970, three years before Roe v. Wade legalized abortion. Since then, Bob fought year in and year out for the lives of unborn babies, always as a volunteer, and was also focused on working against euthanasia and assisted suicide. Without question, Bob's leadership was critical in making Louisiana a leader in the pro-life movement!

Louisiana Life March Events Begin Saturday; Please Join Us And March Together for Life!
Beginning Saturday, Louisiana citizens will begin marching "Together for Life" as we advance closer to an abortion-free Louisiana and a more pro-life America. There are five Louisiana Life Marches planned throughout the state, and there are other local march for life events! As the Supreme Court reconsiders Roe v. Wade, we must march united in defense of every unborn baby with a strong commitment to support moms, now and in a post-Roe Louisiana. Will you join us as we march "Together for Life?"

THANK YOU to our patrons and donors who made Saturday night's Proudly Pro-Life Gala possible! Nearly 600 people attended the event at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans, heard from keynote speakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick and helped us honor State Sen. Katrina Jackson, this year's Proudly Pro-Life Award winner.
Tara Wicker, a former Baton Rouge city councilwoman and an activist and community leader in the fight for life, justice, and righteousness, has been named State Director of Louisiana Black Advocates for Life. You can meet Tara and learn more about LABAL and upcoming events during a virtual meeting at noon tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Texas Heartbeat Bill remains in effect, and we are teaming with donors and volunteers to place these billboards (and others) on important stretches of interstate as women from Texas travel to Louisiana seeking abortion. Will you help us keep the boards up in the Shreveport area and on I-10 near Lake Charles, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge?
When you buy a Choose Life license plate, not only are you donating to pro-life pregnancy centers and adoption agencies in the state that are helping women to choose life, but you are spreading the message of life out on the road! The plate costs $50 every two years over and above your normal license fee. Will you get a Choose Life plate for your vehicle?
Louisiana Lawyers for Life joins Louisiana attorneys and law school students together to support the legal protection of human life, born and unborn, from abortion, euthanasia, and infanticide through legal, legislative, and educational means. Our membership drive is now under way!
