Celtic Concert Featuring Poor Man's Gambit

We’re delighted to welcome back Poor Man’s Gambit to perform traditional Celtic music. No registration required. Seating is first-come, first-seated.

An Evening with Kara Alaimo, Author & Professor, on How Social Media Affects Us All (hybrid)

Thu., 3/6 | 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Kara Alaimo, PhD, will speak about her book, Over the Influence: Why Social Media is Toxic for Women and Girls -- and How We Can Take It Back, which explains how social media is impacting every aspect of the lives of women and girls and what users, lawmakers, and tech companies can do to solve these problems. She’ll also talk about how parents can handle the social media use of all of our children. Hybrid (attend in-person or via Zoom). Registration is required.

Be Bear Aware

Tue., 3/11| 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

An interactive multimedia presentation, touchable artifacts, and a simulation activity help participants better understand and appreciate black bear history, adaptations, life cycle, diet, and needs. Presented by the Morris County Park Commission. For adults all the way down to children no younger than 6. No registration required.

Friendly & non-competitive chess games between players of all ages and ability levels. Basic knowledge of the game’s rules is suggested, though not required. Drop-in.

A casual hour practicing and enjoying Hindi language and culture. A basic knowledge of Hindi is recommended. No registration required.

"American River" is a documentary film that follows two kayakers on an adventure down the Passaic River, from its pristine source in a wildlife refuge to its toxic mouth in Newark Bay. The river’s extraordinary history, geology, and ecology are revealed as the kayakers navigate challenges, travel through urban landscapes, and head towards the industrial disaster that poisoned the Passaic for the past 60 years.
